I HAD to report my customer experience with the company Jaybird, maker of wireless capability is turned off Bluetooth headphones that are sweat proof sportswear, among other useful gym wear and athletic devices.
I own 2 Jaybird Bluebuds X and I absolutely love them. One of the headsets my father loved so much, he never gave them back to me, (hence why I own 2). I started having the issue where my headset was acting as though I was constantly pressing the power/volume up/volume down buttons so it was ...randomly turning on and off, redialing people on my phone (these headsets have phone capabilities and its own voice command software called "Jenna"), and it kept trying to pair the Bluetooth device.
My second headset (stolen by my father) he accidentally didn't realize he dropped them and ran them over with his truck and crushed the earbuds entirely.
I called the company and told them the honest truth on both headsets and told them that I bought them online through Amazon but can't access my old Amazon account to get the receipts, and here is what I was told, " for the one that the buttons are malfunctioning, [they] offered a one time replacement and if I find my receipt, send in a copy and the replacement will be covered under warranty as well. Without the receipt, I still get the replacement but no warranty. For the crushed pair, it isn't covered under warranty; HOWEVER, send in the crushed pair and Jaybird will give you $80.00 credit towards a new pair." These headsets are $179.95 USD.
I was AMAZED how they were willing to give me practically 1/2 the price discount for a pair of crushed headsets, AND replace my non-working device. Unfortunately, my father threw away the crushed pair before I can send it back to Jaybird, but when I told them to forget that return and said what happened, they turned around and offered me 20% off my next purchase as a loyal customer discount!
Today I received my replacement headsets, and to my surprise, they not only replaced my old headset, they UPGRADED it to the newest model, Jaybird X2! I'm wearing them right now and I TRULY LOVE THEM!
I hope many people read this story, and I hope it gets shared a lot, for this company deserves to be recognized for their EXTREMELY supportive customer service!
