trump basic warlock
Real Hearthstone beginners advice:
-If you feel like dropping some cash on the game, buy The curse of Naxxramas, not packs. This'll go much further than $20 of classic packs.
-Crafting Common cards is a sucker's game.
-Disenchant any gold cards you get that you don't plan on playing. A gold card can be disenchanted for the enough dust to craft a card of the same rarity.
-At the end of each month, you'll get a ranked reward depending on how well you did in that month's ranke...d season. The rewards improve at ranks 20, 15, 10, 5, and legend. Getting a rank of 20 is probably good enough at first, but once you've got some more cards and experience, I recommend trying to go for rank 15 each month.
-Your first bit of gold can be spent on packs, arena cards, or wings of Curse of Naxxramas. The first two wings of Naxxramas have very high quality cards like Loatheb and Sludge Belcher, so I would recommend going for those at least. Once you've got some more gold, I would try out some arena runs. They'll help you get a feel for all the cards in the game and you're guaranteed to get at least one pack.
-If you're new to card games, I would check out the "Trump's teachings" series on Youtube which explains key card game concepts. I've shared it below.
-Do all your quests! You can stack up to 3 daily quests. You get one quest reroll a day, so don't get too worried if you're having trouble completing a quest. You can always reroll it by going to your "quests" page and pressing the x in the top right corner.
-Don't be too worried about winning at first. You're going to lose as you learn what each card does. That's totally OK and you're not penalized for doing so. I would actually recommend jumping straight into ranked mode for new players, since it's much better at matching you with players of close skill than the "casual mode" is. Also, you don't lose stars at early ranks, so there's no reason not to play ranked. The best way to learn is by doing, after all.
-Above all, remember you're here to have fun. You're going to run into a wall if your goal is to grind gold, so what I do is just play enough each day to get my quests done. So long as you're having fun and not neglecting your other responsibilities, keep on playing. But the second you start to feel burned out, take a break and come back tomorrow. You're ultimately playing this game to have fun, after all.
