The time frame matches when the Phoenicians sailed, Possibly the Phoenicians visited. I cant remember to site the article that i read years ago, but it was on how the Phoenicians set up trade camps on islands to avoid direct interaction unless the people/tribe canoed out to their trade camp. I think also the Phoenicians employed Keltic conscripts, as did the Carthage// sorry for all the spelling errors.
