It is becoming more likely that a coastal system will brush portions of New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and New York with light snow tomorrow. While we're not expecting significant accumulations, a light coating of snow could make some areas slick --be sure to travel with care!
As this file photo from The blade flurry shows, just a little bit of snow can make roads dangerous --especially untreated ones.
The best chance of light snow shower activity is over the state of Delaware, eas...ternmost Maryland, easternmost Long Island, and Cape May, Atlantic, Cumberland, Burlington, Ocean, Salem, Gloucester, and Camden counties in New Jersey.
Some light snow activity is possible elsewhere in New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania including Philadelphia, and the New York City metropolitan area including western Long Island. But while snow showers or flurries are possible here, we thing there's a better chance of a light coating and potential travel woes in the other places we reference above.
We are tracking a more serious snow threat for this region for next weekend. However, we are many days away from that threat ...and will keep you posted on that as our confidence increases in the forecast in the coming days.
